FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Classes are held at Thrive Church, at 75 Maitland Street. To the left of the main entry doors to the church, there is a 5 or so steps up to a door, walk through the door then climb 2 flights of stairs and you’ll find our space!

  • We certainly do!! If you would like to redeem a voucher please click on the Creative Kids tab in the menu.

  • Absolutely not! A big part of Solasta is building confidence, we want everyone to feel supported and safe while stepping out of their comfort zone.

  • Solasta is a strict no-judgement zone, this will be made clear at the commencement of classes. While it is okay to laugh with someone, we do not allow students to be laughed at. Any form of teasing or bullying will not be accepted.

  • Our classes run during school terms, including public holidays unless stated otherwise. We do not run classes during school holidays but usually hold holiday workshops, so keep an eye out!

  • Solasta is a Gaelic word that means luminous, shining and bright. We want this to reflect how our students feel while being a member of Solasta Performing Arts.

  • Yes! A selection (usually our older classes) will perform at the Narrabri eisteddfod, but every child will get the chance to perform at the end of the year!

  • You’re more than welcome to watch your child in their classes, however, we sometimes find that they are a little more focussed when parents don’t stay. Every child is different though and we are happy with whatever you decide to do!

  • Usually shorts/tights and a t-shirt is a safe bet, there are lots of games tomorrow that have them running about so we just want them to be comfortable!

  • We have a mix amongst our students at Solasta, some like to wear dance clothes, some like to wear workout clothes; we’re easy! As long as they’re comfortable, that’s the main thing.

  • Anything comfortable!
